My Story
The inspiration for rewrap™ is my four beautiful children.
I studied Jewellery design, painting and other forms of design
at COFA Sydney, Australia. I had a working trip for 2 years
travelling around Europe which gave me huge inspiration and a
higher appreciation of art and design.
I later worked for Sydney based jewellery design company
Dinosaur Designs in their studio making jewellery. Since leaving
there in 1999 I’ve had my own jewellery business which has been
ongoing but has changed in form depending on what stage and
age the children were at the time.
I still make and sell my own jewellery in a shop called
Amanda Paradice Jewellery which is in the main street of Scone, a rural town in NSW Australia where I live with my husband and
children.
The idea of rewrap™ came to me because my Grandmother
would give us our Christmas gifts wrapped in fabric or in panty
hoes (a true stocking). She and my Grandfather were in the
Second World War and waste was never an option then.
Everything had to be saved, reused and recycled. Somehow over
the years we’ve lost the skill to make this a way of life which
greatly concerns me. We need to change that.
My aim with rewrap™
is to leave the planet with a much
